The Toddlers are learning about living in a house or an apartment this unit. We have come up with fun and exciting Activities and Welcome centers to inspire the Toddlers to learn more about the house!
We cook in a kitchen.
What better way than to explore the kitchen than to cook! We made cookies and they were delicious! Here is the recipe if you want to make them yourselves at home.
Cookie recipe
2 eggs
2 cups of flour
4 spoons of butter
1 and ½ cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of baking powder.
Cook at 175 C for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
We sleep in a bedroom.
During Welcome Center, the toddlers made their bed in the circle and took turns sleeping and singing “Are you sleeping?” with Teacher Ana. By the end of the day, two of toddlers, Joao Lucca and Valentina, couldn’t resist our pretend bedroom and fell asleep.
We watch TV in the Livingroom.
The toddler posted their favorite TV shows on a pretend TV and we pretended to watch in our living room in the circle. And what is the best snack for watching TV? Popcorn!
We brush our teeth in the bathroom.
Who knew that brushing your teeth could be so much fun? We had the toddlers bring their tooth brushes from home and we had an Activity to see which color of tooth brush everyone brought. Then we sang the toothbrush song.
We play in the Garden!
Finally, we made a beautiful garden in our circle and showed the toddlers how to plant beans.
